PART NINETEEN (CONCLUSION) "Bowie" climbed up onto the deck of the mini-sub after surfacing it. The deck bobbed up and down beneath him, and he began to feel a bit queazy, decidedly ill. In the near distance a large grey metal destroyer ship approached. It dropped an inflatable power boat over the side and a half dozen armed men in wetsuits climbed down a ladder to enter the craft. It got under way with a roar of an outboard motor, and made for the mini-sub. One of the men in wetsuits picked up a bullhorn and directed it at "bowie". "ATTENTION! PUT YOUR HANDS UP, AND MAKE NO THREATENING MOVES, OR WE SHOOT!" As the power boat got closer, the man in charge lifted his bullhorn once again, as he recognized the illegal occupant of the mini-sub. He'd been briefed to ignore the man's outward appearance, and once again adressed him with the bullhorn; "ATTENTION, GEORGE MICHAEL, MR. GEORGE MICHAEL, YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!" -------------------------------------------------------------------- Rex laid on the deck of the oil derrick. James Bond was sitting atop him, holding him down so he couldn't get away. Thought Rex; "Gad, Bond, if you had threatened me with having songs by WHAM! played at me in prison, I may have given up!" Thought Bond; "Rex, you don't know the half of it!" THE END |
